About Forx Roller Derby
Forx Roller Derby, established in 2010, is the first and only roller derby team in the Grand Cities. Over the past 16 years, the team has adhered to the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) guidelines, creating a community that emphasizes competition, teamwork, and camaraderie through the exciting sport of roller derby.
Roller Derby offers a rigorous athletic experience that demands speed, strength, and commitment. New players undergo an 8-week boot camp called Skater-Tots, where they learn fundamental skills in skating, hitting, and strategic gameplay. Upon completing the boot camp, participants advance to join the Sugar Beaters and compete in 4 to 7 bouts annually.
In addition to promoting the sport, Forx Roller Derby actively fundraises to sustain the league and support local nonprofits, including the Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC), Project Dignity, and the Circle of Friends Animal Shelter.
The success and sustainability of Forx Roller Derby rely heavily on the invaluable support from sponsors and fans. Those interested in becoming a sponsor or making a donation can find more information through the links below.
