Charity of the Evening

Their dedicated volunteers accompany clients, offer resources, and lead monthly vigils to raise awareness. ICOM also partners with immigrant-led and faith-based organizations to advocate for fair legislation and to expand support for those affected by immigration enforcement.

In the past, after a bout, we would sit in our locker room, feeling excited, exhausted, and a little concussed. We would try to determine the opposing team's MVPs. This turned out to be a challenging task. On the track and among the pack, we don't always see the full picture. Our MVPs have never been chosen based on skill alone; rather, we focus on who truly stood out during the bout. We consider who stepped out of their comfort zone, who made us laugh, who executed that one impressive move, and who made us collectively say, "Ouch."
